Touch monitors are generally favored in instances where regular interaction is necessary. In environments where employees typically use gloves a resistive touch screen is required. Monirors in environments where hygiene is imperative should satisfy an IP 69K certification to withstand high pressure water jets, industrial grade detergents and strong chemicals. Monitors subject to direct sunlight should have a high brightness option with a Nits value of 900 or higher and displays located in high humidity environments require optical bonding to prevent condensation. All monitors located in outdoor areas should have both a high brightness option and optical bonding to ensure optimal functionality.
