Displays are a vital component throughout every step of a fully or part-automated manufacturing process. While some are used simply for monitoring purposes, others are used to control certain aspects of the process and are regularly interacted with. The optimal screen for any given purpose is defined by factors such as usage, location, environment, type of mount, required size and resolution etc.
Touch displays are generally favored in instances where regular interaction is necessary. In environments where employees typically use gloves a resistive touch screen is required. Displays in environments where hygiene is imperative should satisfy an IP 69K certification to withstand high pressure water jets, industrial grade detergents and strong chemicals. Displays subject to direct sunlight should have a high brightness option with a Nits value of 900 or higher and displays located in high humidity environments require optical bonding to prevent condensation. All displays located in outdoor areas should have both a high brightness option and optical bonding to ensure optimal functionality.
Hatteland Technology offers a wide variety of display options, including stainless steel frames, touch displays, sunlight readable displays, open frame displays and 1U LCD KVM consoles.
